3 lb Wool Pellets + 1 qt Sweet Fish Brew. Everything a small garden needs to get growing strong.

This starter kit pairs our slow-release Wool Pellets with concentrated Sweet Fish Brew for a simple feed-and-hold-water routine, right from planting day. Work the wool pellets into your soil at the start of the season — they release nutrients gradually while helping your soil hold moisture through hot stretches, so you're not watering constantly. Then feed your plants through the season with Sweet Fish Brew, a fermented liquid biostimulant made from wild-fish byproduct that gives roots and foliage a nutrient boost as they establish.

Perfect for: raised beds, in-ground garden beds, container gardens, and any small-to-medium growing space getting started this season.

What's included:

  • 1 bag Wool Pellets (3 lb)

Wool Pellets

100% pelletized Merino wool. Work into the soil at planting. Microbes break down the keratin fibers gradually, releasing nitrogen over months while the wool holds moisture and builds soil structure.

NPK 7–0–4 · CDFA listed
1 quart

Sweet Fish Brew

Cold-fermented fish hydrolysate. Dilute and apply as a foliar spray or soil drench every four weeks. Feeds soil biology while delivering fast-acting nutrients to leaves and roots.

NPK 0.5–0.4–0.6

How to use them together

The two work on different timescales, so they layer rather than overlap.

  1. At planting. Work Wool Pellets into the soil at ½ to 1 cup per gallon, or 1 teaspoon per seed hole. Water deeply, since the pellets absorb water and swell.
  2. Four weeks later. Start Sweet Fish Brew at 1.5 tablespoons per gallon, as a drench or foliar spray.
  3. Every four weeks after. Repeat the Sweet Fish Brew application through the growing season.
  4. At four to six months. Reapply Wool Pellets around established plants and work them in.

Where it comes from

The wool comes from a Merino flock grazing coastal Santa Barbara County hillsides for fire fuel mitigation. The fish scraps come from California wild-caught fish, locally processed. Both were waste streams before they were products.

No CAFO or feedlot inputs, no fish farm byproducts, no GMO organisms, no fossil-fuel-derived ingredients. Every ingredient is sourced in California and traceable to its origin.

Good to know. Sweet Fish Brew has a mild fish odor that fades after application, and it's strained so it runs through a sprayer or drip line without issue. Wool Pellets store indefinitely as long as they stay dry. Both are suitable for vegetable gardens, fruit trees, herbs, and other edible crops at label rates.
